Branding and Publicity

Belonging to the UP Junior Marketing Organization, I have had many opportunities to hone my graphic design skills with respect to branding and publicity. This has given me experience in SEO marketing, creating a brand, target market marketing, and the like.

UP Junior Marketing Association Website

As the UP JMA Media and Communications Team Head in the first semester of academic year 2020-2021, I spearheaded the Website Development team. Here, my team and I revamped and relaunched the organization's website to suit the brand equity of the organization, and improve its SEO.

Lumine Rebranding

The Lumine is the official publication arm of UP JMA--celebrating all things marketing for the iskolar ng bayan. Here, I created a new responsive logo for the brand, and animated the opening and closing sequence of the Lumine branch: Lumine TV.

In the rebranding process, we wanted to create a logo that was responsive in the sense that it can be cut down to smaller elements depending on the use; all while maintaining the brand equity of the organization and the spirit of the Lumine brand. With this, I created the running man icon to signify the "we lead" motto of the organization, added a pen to signify Lumine as a publication arm, and designed the rest of the letters to look handwritten to signify the creative freedom in the Lumine brand.

All of this was further brought to life in the Lumine TV opening and closing video sequences as they are more concrete embodiments of the brand.

Building the MarkEd 360°: Next Brand

UP JMA MarkEd 360° is the premier college marketing competition, and in the second semester of A.Y. 2020-2021, the sub-brand decided to open their gates to the next generation of innovators; thus birthing MarkEd 360°: Next – the premier high school marketing competition. As the Head of the Promotions and Creatives Team of MarkEd, here, I created a new logo variation and expanded the MarkEd 360° branding to suit high school students as well.

MarkEd 360°: Next Logo Variation

In the conceptualization of the high school variation of the competition,  the MarkEd 360° head and I knew that we wanted to highlight the next generation of innovators. Furthermore, we wanted to take the approach that focused on high schoolers choosing to prepare for their college lives with us at MarkEd. With this, MarkEd 360°: Next was born.

I wanted the logo to signify the idea of "Next," while still highlighting the "high school" aspect of the brand. With this, I created a pencil that an arrow-like figure.

Beyond this, I also created multiple reusable isometric elements that best represented high school and getting future-ready with MarkEd 360°: Next.

Solidifying the overall MarkEd Branding

As the Head of the Promotions and Creatives Team of UP JMA MarkEd in the second semester of A.Y. 2020-2021, I was given the privilege of contributing to the MarkEd branding by creating a logo animation to be used in all MarkEd videos, and an opening sequence for the educational series of MarkEd entitled: MarkIt.

As a member of the IG Reboot team in the first semester of academic year 2020-2021, I created some of the content, and managed the account as a whole--tracking the look of the feed, and organizing the releases for the account.
